Ok, so you’re kicking butt in PvP, or gettign your butt kicked, one or the other. Anyway, the burning questions is, “When is season 8 over?”. I have scoured the internet and WoW forums for weeks now trying to find the answer to this mysterious question. Here is what I’ve learned / figured out so far.
Here is a useful chart from WoWwiki about the previous seasons:
On average a PvP season lasts about 18 to 20 weeks. Season 3 was the exception at 29 weeks and caused a big stir on the PvP community. Season 8 has been going on for 27 weeks making it the the 2nd longest PvP season so far as of the time of this writing. I wouldn’t think that season 8 can last too much longer. All I know is that if you are hording arena points you should probably begin using them before they ninja switch us to season 9 and you lose them all!
So, although this article probably didn’t give you the EXACT answer you wanted to hear, rest assured that I scoured the internet to try to find the season 8 end date and it IS NOT OUT THERE YET! So, stop looking and come back here and visit and I’ll let you know. Until then, keep melting faces or whatever it is your class does!
Ever try to duel someone on the streets in Dalaran and you get the message that says, “You can not do that here”? Well, there is a little trick where you CAN duel someone in the streets of Dalaran. All you have to do is start the duel with someone at a certain location in the Dalaran sewers and then you and the person you want to duel mount up and run to the surface above where the duel flag went down. See the video!
Ok, let’s face it, the 2 minutes that you are stuck in the small purplish bubble in the beginning of Eye of the Storm is just plain annoying. Not a lot of space to run around and it is just a pain in the but to even see all that is going on in there. Thankfully there is a trick to getting out of the bubble.
If you haven’t already figured it out, simply walk to the back of the bubble and then mount up and then jump and you’ll be free. See the video below for a quick demonstration.
This is an old trick that is intentionally left in the game. Priests can use Shadow Word: Death (SW:D) to remove a mage’s Polymorph spell. This is done by casting the SW:D at approximately the 50% mark on a mage that is casting Polymorph on you. So long as the mage does not die you will receive damage from your own SW:D immediately following the Polymorph spell. Since any damage will break the Polymorph spell the returned damage will pop you out of the Polymorph. Keep in mind that SW:D has a 12 second cooldown so that you can not break every Polymorph the mage casts but you can at least break the first one. If the mages casts polymorph again then you may trinket out of it. If the mage casts polymorph a 3rd time then it will only affect you for 2 seconds due to dimishing returns.
You must be aware the mage is casting the Polymorph spell on you and have SW:D ready. Here is a video demonstrating how to break a Polymorph with Shadow Word Death.
